To start using your Lively device and service you'll need to activate and choose your monthly plan.

Jitterbug phones and Lively Mobile medical alerts

  1. Activate your device online. It costs $25 to activate online.
  2. Call 800-397-0588 to activate. It costs $35 to activate over the phone.

Prior to calling, be sure to have your device IMEI and SIM ICCID on hand. You can retrieve the IMEI by entering *#06# on your phone keypadThe SIM ICCID is printed under the barcode on the physical SIM card.

Step 1: Connect to Wi-Fi

Make sure your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network.

Step 2: Scan the QR code

Open your phone's camera and point it at the QR code. When the link appears, tap it to activate Lively service on your phone.

Step 3: Download the Lively app

The Lively app gives you easy access to your services. After installing the app, Preferred Plan customers should add the Urgent Response widget to the phone's home screen for fast help in emergencies.

Common questions

What information will I need to activate?

In order to activate your Lively device, we will need information about your device (the IMEI or serial number) and basic address and billing information.

IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. It's a 15-digit identification number unique to your device.

How do I find my Lively device’s IMEI or Serial number?

For Jitterbug phones, the IMEI is printed on the box and also on a sticker on the back of the phone. For Lively medical alert devices, the serial number is printed on the back of the device.

How long does activation take?

After we have collected the information needed to activate your device, it typically takes 5-10 minutes before your device is ready to use.

Can I activate my Lively SIM Kit online?

Currently, you have to call our Retail Activations team to activate a SIM card. Prior to calling, be sure to have your device IMEI and SIM ICCID on hand.

You can retrieve the IMEI by entering *#06# on your phone keypad. The SIM ICCID is printed under the barcode on the physical SIM card.

Can I keep my existing phone number when I switch to Lively?

Yes, we offer phone number porting to all of our customers who transfer to Lively from another wireless provider. This allows you the option to retain and transfer your existing cell phone number to your new phone, providing that number is still available at the time you make the request.

You will receive information for completing a phone number transfer when you purchase directly on Lively.com, or at time of activation if purchased at a retail store. You will be able to use your phone, with your existing number, once the transfer process is complete.

Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-733-6632 (or 6-1-1 from your Lively Jitterbug phone) to confirm your number is eligible for transfer.

How do I transfer my phone number to Lively from another carrier?

For SIM Kit Users

To transfer your current phone number to your new SIM card, log into My Account. (You'll need to create an account if you don't already have one.)

If you need help or have questions, call the Lively team at 1-866-233-3436. Hours of operation are 7 a.m.–10 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m.–6 p.m. ET on weekends.

For Jitterbug Phone Users

  1. Make sure your Jitterbug phone is powered on and has cellular service.
  2. Log into My Account. (If you don't yet have an online account, you'll need to create one.)
  3. We’ll ask a few questions about your old carrier and guide you through requesting a transfer.

Tip: It is helpful if you have a copy of a recent phone bill or have access to your online account from your old carrier. You will be asked to provide some account information.
